The Easiest Way: Text to Switch
  1. Open the messaging app on your phone (using your *old* provider's SIM).
  2. Text the word PAC to 65075.
  3. Your provider must reply by text within a minute, giving you your PAC and any important info (like early termination fees).
Other Ways
  • Log into your old provider's app or website. There will be an option in your account settings to request a PAC.
  • Call your old provider. You can find their customer service number on a recent bill.

That's it. Your PAC is valid for 30 days, and your SecondSim subscription will be cancelled automatically once the number successfully ports out.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about porting your number to SecondSim via PAC code.

What is a PAC code and how do I get it?

A PAC (Porting Authorisation Code) is a 9-character code that allows you to transfer your mobile number from one network to another. It is free to request. Simply text PAC to 65075 from the number you wish to keep, and your current network provider will instantly reply with your code. It is valid for 30 days.

How long does it take to port a number?

Number porting usually completes on the next working day, provided you submit your PAC code to us before 5 PM Monday to Friday. If you submit it over the weekend, the porting process will begin on Monday and complete on Tuesday.

Will I lose signal during the transfer?

You will experience a brief loss of service on the day of the transfer (usually just a few minutes, but can take up to a couple of hours) as your old SIM deactivates and your new SecondSim eSIM takes over the number. We recommend keeping both active until the transfer completes.

Does porting cancel my old contract?

Yes! Under Ofcom rules, as soon as your number successfully ports to SecondSim, your previous contract or Pay-As-You-Go service with your old provider is automatically cancelled. You do not need to contact them again.

Can I port a VoIP or landline number?

Our automated system currently only accepts PAC codes from UK mobile networks (e.g., EE, O2, Vodafone, Three, Giffgaff). To port a landline or VoIP number, you'll need an organic port request—please contact our support team for a custom quote.
